Dominic Silva

Wake Forest University Master of Fine Arts 2018
A 2015 graduate of New Mexico State University, Dominic received a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Individualized Studies. Dom spent the majority of his undergraduate career bouncing between Digital Filmmaking and Journalism majors without finding his true calling. He finally realized documentary storytelling was his happy-medium between the two and has continued pursuing non-fiction work through his graduate studies at Wake Forest University.
He currently works as video Producer at The Players' Tribune in New York City.

Dominic's journey into filmmaking started at a young age of 12 after being admitted to a Multimedia program in the 6th grade. Ever since he has continued pursuing his passion for cinematography and non-fiction storytelling by running a freelance photography and video business, completing internships for New Mexico State University Football, Wake Forest Athletics, and NFL Films. He is currently an Associate Producer for Wake Forest's Production company Wrought Iron Productions. The production of Original Body of Pain has profoundly affected the route he wants his career to take and is hopeful to find a balance between working in professional sports and social issue filmmaking.
